Traditional marketing for family-owned businesses
Paper, radio, and handshakes still work. We can prove it.
Direct mail, local radio, signage, sponsorships, and community events, planned like the digital work: with a target, a number to call, and a way to know exactly what came back. We are a does-it-all agency, and we mean all of it.

Digital-only agencies wrote off half your customers. We didn’t.
Traditional marketing gets a bad name for reasons that have nothing to do with the medium:
- A mailer that went out with the main office number on it, so nobody ever knew if it pulled a single call
- A radio rep selling “brand awareness” with a rate card and no numbers behind it
- Sponsorship checks written out of neighborly guilt, with no plan and no follow-through
- A beautiful new sign nobody can read at 40 miles an hour
- A digital agency that rolls its eyes at anything it cannot A/B test
Here is what the eye-rollers miss: plenty of your best customers still read the local paper at the kitchen table, still listen to drive-time radio, and still choose the business whose name is on their kid’s jersey. The problem was never print or radio. The problem was running them on faith instead of math.
Your customers do not live entirely online. Your marketing should not either.

Match the medium to your customer
A 68-year-old homeowner in a colonial and a 28-year-old renter find their plumber differently. We start with who actually buys from you, then pick the channels they actually see: mail routes, radio dayparts, the strips where signage earns its rent. Around here, that includes honest calls like the penny saver versus digital and local radio versus digital on Long Island.
-
Make every piece trackable
A dedicated phone number on the mailer. A QR code on the sign. An offer code on the radio spot. Old-school media with modern plumbing underneath, so “did it work?” gets a number instead of a shrug.
-
Show up in the community for real
Sponsorships and events chosen because you genuinely belong there, not because a logo slot was for sale. A booth your family actually staffs beats a banner nobody reads. We plan the follow-up too, so the goodwill turns into names, calls, and customers. More on that in community marketing for family businesses, and yes, we have a straight answer on whether sponsoring Little League is worth it.
-
Read it next to the digital numbers
Because we run both sides, your mail campaign and your Google Ads land in the same report, cost per call against cost per call. Whatever pulls best gets more budget. No turf wars between channels, because we do not have a favorite. You do: the one that works.
Traditional shines brightest for home services, where a mail route can blanket exactly the neighborhoods you want, and for restaurants, where the community table is the brand. It is also half the playbook for a grand opening done right.
Old-school media, measured like it’s 2026.
Every tracking number rings through Jacko AI
The number on your mailer, your radio spot, and your sign each ring through Jacko AI, so every call is logged, recorded, and attributed to the piece that earned it. You see which zip codes called, which spots pulled, and what each channel cost per lead.
No busy-season call lost
When the mailer works and the phone lights up, Voice AI catches the calls you cannot, answers questions, and books the job.
Mail and ads, one report

Straight answers
Does direct mail still work?
For the right business, yes. It works best when the customer is a homeowner, the job is high-value, and the list is tight: real mail routes in real neighborhoods you serve, not a county-wide blast. It fails when it is untargeted and untracked. We only run it where the math has a fair chance, and we track it so the math is visible.
How do you track something like a radio ad?
A dedicated phone number that only exists in that spot, an offer code worth mentioning on air, and a watch on branded searches and direct traffic during the flight. It is not pixel-perfect like a search ad, and we will not pretend otherwise, but it is more than enough to tell a working spot from a dead one.
Is sponsoring the local team or parade actually worth it?
As an ad buy, usually no; as a community investment with a plan, often yes. The banner alone does little. The banner plus your family at the field, a photo for social, and a follow-up offer for the league families can genuinely move a local business. If you would sponsor them anyway out of loyalty, good. We just make sure the goodwill is not wasted.
Do we have to buy digital services to do traditional with you?
No. Some clients come to us just for mail, signage, or a sponsorship strategy, and we are glad to have them. We will say plainly that the two measure better together, one dashboard, one cost-per-lead comparison, but there is no bundle requirement and never will be.
Bring back the marketing that shakes hands.
Tell us your towns and your customers, and we will tell you honestly which old-school channels deserve your money and which are nostalgia.
Month to month. Every channel tracked. Every account and asset yours.
